UPDATED AUGUST 5, 2018: Saturday’s squads saw two bowlers crack the 1,500 mark, with one bowler again falling short from stealing the tournament lead.
Kyle Mayberry from Mechanicsville, OH had a shot at the Petersen lead heading into his final game, needing a 195 game to overtake the top spot. Lanes 5 & 6 weren’t cooperating as he was only able to tally a 190 game after throwing a double in the tenth frame followed by a six-count on his final ball. Kyle ended up with a 1,578 which was good enough to put him in a tie for second place. Nice bowling, Kyle!
There’s still time to take your shot at some Petersen Gold as openings are available for single bowlers, groups and full squads. You can get more info by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Jim Welch at (214) 704-3531. We hope to see you at the Pete!
